Reading, PA:  (April 11, 2010) -  Arcadia University men's tennis defeated conference rival Alvernia University Monday afternoon 5 -4 to pick up their first conference victory of the season. The Knights earned wins in #1 and #3 doubles action, as well as #3, #4, and #5 singles play. 

Eric Elie made routine work of Alvernia in #3 singles play, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.  It was the #5 singles play of Herminio Quinones who brought the Knights closer to their first conference victory of the season, winning also in routine fashion, 6-4, 6-2. In the #4 play, First-year Marc Ruggia battled back from being a set down to win Arcadia's second singles match of the day and bring home the Knights first conference victory of the season with his 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 win.

Arcadia returns to the court Tuesday April 12th to face Rosemont College at Arcadia University, beginning at 4 PM.
