Stephanie Holguin opened and closed the first half scoring but it would be nine unanswered scored by host Eastern University in between giving the Eagles a 9-2 halftime lead as they would go on to defeat the Knights 17-6 in today's Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse regular season finale. Holguin scored four times before senior
Jen Ng added a pair in the final two minutes of regulation. Junior
Amalie Kreitman made 11 saves in the loss.
Eastern controlled to offense, outshooting the Knights 35-13, and capitalized on five of eight free position shots and also had their way on defense, forcing 16 of Arcadia's game high 19 turnovers. Grace Griffith and Kristy Hild scored four goals apiece for the Eagles and would each finish with five points. Griffith's goal early on broke a 1-1 stalemate, putting the Eagles on top for good and it was her 300th career point.
Katie Bauer finished the finale with a team-high five caused turnovers, a single-season game high for the first-year and registered two ground balls. Holguin added 3 caused turnovers.
Arcadia completes their season at 7-9 overall and 4-8 in the league.
