Box Score Scranton, PA (October 22, 2012) - The Arcadia University Knights (13-5) came away with a 5-0 road win at the Marywood University Pacers (4-10) tonight.
Jennie Kamel recorded a hat trick, while
Taylor Dalisera and
Pam Schweitzer scored a goal each.
The first half went nearly scoreless, but with just four seconds to play in the opening session, Lynn Beatty found Kamel for her first goal of the game and a 1-0 halftime lead. The Knights outshot Marywood 16-1 and had 12 penalty corners to just two for the Pacers in the first half.
It took the Knights just over seven minutes into the second half to score when Pam Sweitzer converted on a penalty shot for a 2-0 Arcadia lead. Then at 53:02 Kamel scored her second, once again off an assist from Beatty. Dalisera scored under a minute later on another penalty shot. Then just 50-seconds later Kamel capped off the scoring on a goal assisted by
Ashley Ditchey.
Arcadia ended the game with a 27-4 shot advantage and a 24-4 penalty corner advantage.
Mia De Plato got the shutout win without having the make the save.
The Knights will play their season finale on Saturday night at 7pm as they host Notre Dame of Maryland on Easton Field.
