Women's Soccer Falls to Lebanon Valley in Season Finale

Box Score Glenside, PA (October 27, 2012) - On the final game of the season, the Arcadia University Knights (10-6-3, 4-4-1) honored four incredible seniors on outstanding careers both on the field and in the classroom: Caitlin McDonnell, Jaclyn Law, Meghan Cronin, and Lauren Miller.  However, the Knights were unable to carry the opening senior day ceremony momentum over to game as they fell short to the visiting Lebanon Valley Dutchmen(10-6-1, 6-2-1), 2-0.  The loss knocked the Knights out of playoff contention.

With Commonwealth Conference playoffs on the line, the Knights needed a victory to qualify but the Dutchmen of Lebanon Valley playing the role of spoiler got off to a quick start with two first half goals from juniors Morgan Miller and Lindi Crist in the first half.

AU fought hard and competed in the second half shutting down the LebVal offense but was only able to muster up two shots of their own. Knights' goalkeeper Veronica Willig goalkeeper played solid in net with five saves on the day but the Knights were unable to score as the Dutchmen proved to be too much.

We wish Jackie, CJ, Lauren, and Meghan the best in their future endeavors as the rest of the Knights look forward to the 2013 season.
