Men's Basketball Uses Lee-Webb's Triple-Double to Defeat Abington

Box Score Abington, PA (December 15, 2012) - The Arcadia University Knights (6-3) won their second straight contest this afternoon, defeating the Penn State-Abington Nittany Lions 84-76. The Knights trailed 61-50 midway through the second half, but then used a 26-9 run to take a 76-70 lead at the 4:35 mark. Aaron Lee-Webb recorded a triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

Arcadia jumped out in front and led for most of the first half holding as much as a six point lead early one. Penn State got to within one, twice but could never tie or take the lead. The Knights led 37-33 in the final minutes of the half and ended the session scoring the final five points to take a 42-33 lead into the break.

The Knights came out and extended their lead to 11, but a 12-0 run gave the Nittany Lions a 45-44 lead at the 15:05 mark. Arcadia went back up by one, but Penn State went on a 14-2 run take a 59-48 lead at the 11:45 mark. They led 61-50, but the Knights used an 18-7 run to tie the game at 68-68. They then took the lead and continued to extend it, leading by 10 in the final minute before winning by the eight-point margin.

Lee-Webb was 3-8 from the field and 7-10 from the line. John Landro added 14 points, while Khalief Trawick scored 13 points and Joe Brown scored 10 points. Avery Barnes scored 15 points and had 17 rebounds to lead Penn State-Abington.

Arcadia will return to action on Tuesday night when travel to face Division I Lafayette for a 7pm tip-off.
