Knights Breeze by Lions 18-5

ABINGTON, Pa.:  At the half of today's non-conference women's lacrosse game at Penn State Abington, the scoreboard read 13-2 Knights thanks to five first half scores from junior Meghan Fallon and three apiece from sophomore Jenna Crothers and first year Haylee Molloy as Arcadia rolled to a 13-2 victory over the host Lions, evening their early season record to 2-2.

The Lions got on the board first but Arcadia responded in a huge way with six unanswered with over 18 minutes to play in the opening half.  The Lions scored what would be their final tally of the half at 17:39 before the Knights erupted for a seven goal spree to close the half with an 11 goal advantage.

Under two minutes into the second half the Lions lit the lamp for a third time.  The two teams would trade scores over the next 11 minutes before the Knights tacked on the final three goals of the contest for the 18-5 victory.  Five different Arcadia players scored in the second half.

Arcadia out-shot the Lions 31-19, led in both ground balls 18-13 and 18-6 off the draw.

Fallon finished with 7 points (5G, 2A), Crothers with 6 pts (4G, 2A) and Molloy with 5 pts (4G, 1A).  First year Jaclyn Feffer added two scores while sophomores Katie Bauer and Rachel Dolly and junior Stephanie Welch each added one.
