Men's Tennis Honor Finney, Ameil in Season Finale

GLENSIDE, PA (April 28, 2012) - Seniors Max Ameil and Chris Finney closed out their collegiate career Saturday afernoon on the Weiss Tennis Courts in a match that held playoff implications for the Knights.  With a win, Arcadia was headed to their first Commonwealth team championship since 2009, when they battled with Saturday's opponent Elizabethtown. But the defending league champion Blue Jays handed Arcadia a 9-0 setback.

Ameil has been a four-year mainstay on Arcadia's courts and has had success playing various positions throughout the lineup.  The New Providence, NJ native will receive his undergraduate degree this May in International Studies. Finney came to Arcadia as a sophomore transfer and made an immediate impact as one of the team's top threats.  Finney, who hails from Tafton, PA, has been regularly recognized on the annual MAC Academic Honor Roll and will be awarded his undergraduate degree in Business/Political Science this May.

Arcadia concludes the 2012 season with a 5-10 overall record and in a two-way tie for fifth overall in the Commonwealth at 2-4.
