Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's basketball team scored 10 of the final 15 points of the game to break a 72-72 tie and record an 82-77 non-conference victory over visiting Bryn Athyn College Wednesday night at Alumni Gymnasium. The Knights improved to 1-1 for the season, while the Lions fell to 0-3.

Bryn Athyn is a first-year program that is led by Arcadia alum Justin Baxter '03, who was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Knights.

Junior forward Joe Brown (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field and a 5-of-6 performance from three to go with six boards, four steals and three assists for Arcadia, while junior center Jose Figueroa (Philadelphia, Pa.) poured in 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor with six rebounds. Junior guard Aaron Lee-Webb (Norristown, Pa.) also scored in double-figures with 13 points, while freshman guard Ryan Kelley (Mt. Arlington, N.J.) chipped in with nine points off the bench in his home debut.

Freshman forward Troy Steed (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored a team-high 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the floor while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out three assists to lead Bryn Athyn, while fellow freshman forward Jeff Seigafuse (Philadelphia, Pa.) netted 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field while bragging five boards. Sophomore forward Christian Rivera (South Cotabato, Philippines) finished with 17 points while also going 7-of-10 from the floor to go with three rebounds and three assists.

Both teams enjoyed a strong shooting night. The Lions shot 57 percent (29-51) from the floor and 45 percent (9-20) from three, while the Knights shot 49 percent (31-63) from the field and 33 percent (6-18) from downtown.

Arcadia took advantage of its second-chance scoring opportunities, pulling down 14 offensive rebounds that turned into 25 second-chance points, and tallied 27 points off 10 Bryn Athyn turnovers. The Lions managed 18 points off 13 turnovers by the Knights and scored one basket off their lone offensive rebound of the game.

The Lions got out to a quick start led 13-5 early in the contest before Arcadia went on a 24-3 run that spanned six minutes to take a 29-16 lead with 7:12 left in the first half. The Knights built what appeared to be a commanding 17 points lead at 39-22 with just under four minutes left in the opening frame, but the Lions managed to chip away at that advantage and Arcadia led 45-36 at the half.

The Knights looked as though they had reestablished control of the contest after scoring the first seven points of the second half before Bryn Athyn went on a 16-4 run to pull back within four, 56-52, 7:37 into the period. The Lions eventually drew even on three occasions, but were never able to regain the lead.

Seigafuse tied the score after being sprung for a fast break layup by Steed with 4:34 remaining in the game before freshman guard Joe Trojanowski (Reading, Pa.) gave Arcadia the lead for good by knocking down a pair of free throws one minute later. The two team traded baskets from there and Lee-Webb's two made free throws with 3.6 second on the clock to secure the win for the Knights.

Arcadia will be back in action Saturday when it hosts a 3 p.m. non-conference contest against Delaware Valley College at 3 p.m. at Alumni Gymnasium.
