Women’s Basketball Cruises to 99-42 Victory over Baptist Bible

Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's basketball team shot 57 percent (42-74) from the field and 50 percent (9-18) from three as it easily defeated visiting Baptist Bible College Monday night in a non-conference contest at Alumni Gymnasium. The Knights improved to 6-2 with the win, while the Defenders fell to 0-5.

The win marked the 100th career victory for third-year head coach Lorie Khalil, who has totaled 19 wins in her two-plus seasons at Arcadia. She amassed 81 victories in her six seasons as the head women's basketball coach at Centenary (N.J.) College from 2005-11. 
 
Sophomore forward Valerie DiMuro (Tappan, N.Y.) scored a game-high 21 points on a near perfect shooting night to lead Arcadia, going 10-for-11 from the field while collecting six rebounds and blocking a pair of shots. Sophomore guard Mary Badeen (Newport, Maine) netted 18 points on a 7-for-14 showing from the floor while going 4-for-9 from downtown.
 
Sophomore guard Samantha Caligiuri (West Grove, Pa.) poured in 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field and a 3-for-4 performance from beyond the arc, while junior forward Victoria Roukas (Palisades Park, N.J.) scored 11 points with five boards. Senior forward Victoria Mazzeo (Langhorne, Pa.) filled the stat sheet with seven points, a ga,me-high 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals, while sophomore guard Dominique Hassinger (Franklinville, N.J.) scored four points and dished out a season-high nine assists.
 
Sophomore forward Meaghin Mueller (Mt. Dora, Fla.) scored 11 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead Baptist Bible, while fellow sophomore forward Megan Wagner (St. Petersburg, Fla.) added 10 points.
 
The Defenders shot just 35 percent (17-49) from the field in the game, missed each of their three attempts from beyond the arc, and were 8-for-11 at the line.
 
The Knights will be close out their three-game home stand Wednesday when they host a non-conference game against Drew University at 5 p.m. at Alumni Gymnasium.
