Box Score Madison, NJ (April 10, 2013) - The Arcadia University Knights (8-4, 1-1 MFRE) had their eight game winning streak snapped this afternoon in a 12-11 loss to FDU-Florahm. The Knights led 11-10 with just over nine minutes to play, but the Devils scored two goals in the final eight minutes to take the lead and held off the Knights in the final minutes to get the win.
Dawn Faranetta scored six goals for Arcadia.
FDU-Florham scored three goals to start the game and led 3-0 at the 21:07 mark.
Jenna Crothers scored from
Haylee Molloy at 19:12 to make it 3-1. The Devils made it 4-1, but Molloy scored to make it 4-2. FDU scored two more to extend their lead to 6-2. Faranetta made it 6-3 at 11:43. FDU made it 7-3, but then Faranetta and
Jaclyn Feffer scored to make it 7-5. The Devils scored for an 8-5 lead, but Molloy scored from Crother with just under a minute to play in the half to make the score 8-6 at the break.
The Knights tied the team game to start the second half as Faranetta scored twice and the game was knotted at eight with 24:41 to play. FDU made it 9-8, but Feffer scored from
Meghan Fallon to tie the game and Faranetta scored to give Arcadia their first lead, 10-9 with 13:22 to play. FDU tied the game at 10, but Faranetta scored at 9:14 to take an 11-10 lead. The Devils tied the game at 7:57 and then scored the game winning goal at 4:18.
Feffer and Molloy each scored a pair for Arcadia. FDU held a slim 27-26 lead in shots and won 16 of 25 draw controls.
Arcadia will return to action on Saturday when they travel to face Wilkes in MAC Freedom action.
