UNION, N.J. – Senior forward
Molly Goldstein scored a pair of goals to lead the fifth-seeded Arcadia University field hockey team to a 4-1 victory at fourth-seeded Kean University Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Mid-Atlantic Championship Tournament Wednesday.
The Knights (14-7) will face eight-seeded Misericordia University in the ECAC semifinals Saturday at a time and location to be determined. The Cougars advanced with a 1-0 upset win at top-seeded Alvernia University today.
The Cougars (13-8) took an early 1-0 lead on junior midfielder Marissa Robinson's 18th goal of the season 7:07 into the match. Sophomore forward Bridget Bottinelli took the initial shot that was the tipped in by Robinson.
It was all Arcadia from there, as the Knights scored four unanswered goals to secure their first-ever ECAC tournament win in their second appearance.

Tess Brzezynski tied the game 14:42 into the match after junior forward
Rachel Longenecker corralled her own rebound and pushed the ball to a wide open Brzezynski for her fourth goal of the year.
Goldstein then scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with nine minutes remaining in the first half as she launched a blast from the right side of the circle past Kean junior goalkeeper Katie DiCarlo. She then scored her second goal of the game, sixth of the season, with 2:43 left in the opening from when she placed a pass from Brzezynski into the left side of the cage.
The Knights nearly made it a 4-1 game at the half, but Robinson came up with a defensive save on a scoring bid from senior back
Katrina Dull off a corner as time expired in the first half.
Dull would not be denied in the second half off a corner as she redirected a shot from Goldstein past DiCarlo for her team-leading 10th goal of the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Brittany Hodson registered four saves in the cage for Arcadia, improving her record to 8-4. It was the first postseason win of her collegiate career.
Arcadia outshot the Cougars 20-8 in the match and had a 9-3 advantage on corners.
