Women’s Lacrosse Wins Fifth Straight, Cruises to 20-3 Victory at Eastern

Box Score ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – Junior Haylee Molloy (Holtsville, N.Y.) and sophomore Dawn Faranetta (Randolph, N.J.) had eight points each to lead the Arcadia University women's lacrosse team to a 20-3 Freedom Conference victory at Eastern University Wednesday afternoon. The Knights improved to 12-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play with their fifth consecutive won, while the Eagles fell to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in conference games.
 
Molloy had a season-high seven goals with one assist, while Faranetta finished the game with a season-high six goals and two assists. Sophomore Adeline Bellesheim (Sparta, N.J.) added three goals, while senior Sara Volk-Perez (Mays Landing, N.J.) netted two goals with one assist. Freshman Erin Misner (Westhampton, N.J.) also had a multi-point game with one goals and one assist.
 
Senior Jenna Crothers (Patchogue, N.Y.) had one goal and a game-high five assists in the game, raising her school-record career assist total to 87. Sophomore Jordyn Dunacusky (Conshohocken, Pa.) made six saves as she improved her record to 12-0 for the season.
 
Freshman Anna Charlebois (Royersford, Pa.) accounted for two of Eastern's three goals, with the other coming from sophomore Stephanie Hogan (Doylestown, Pa.). Freshman Megan McReynolds (Abington, Md.) allowed 13 goals and had 11 saves in 38:47 in net as her record fell to 2-4, while sophomore Cortney Andes (Cheshire, Conn.) had three saves and gave up seven goals in 21:13.
 
The Knights outshot the Eagles 43-10, had a 27-14 advantage in ground balls and secured 18-of-24 draw controls in the game. Arcadia was 3-for-6 on free position attempts, while Eastern was 2-for-5.
 
The Knights will look to extend their winning streak to six games Saturday when they host a 1 p.m. Freedom Conference contest against Wilkes University at Easton Field.
