GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Arcadia University field hockey team dropped a 2-1 non-conference decision to Gettysburg College Saturday, snapping its four-match winning streak and dropping its record to 4-2. The Bullets evened their record at 2-2 with the win.
Gettysburg scored both its goals on penalty strokes in the match. Senior back/midfielder Lexie Mowery scored the first with 2:32 left in the first half, giving the Bullets a 1-0 lead at the break, and sophomore forward Hannah Fitzgerald scored the second with 2:20 remaining in the match.
Arcadia had the edge on the field, outscoring Gettysburg 1-0 with a 15-10 advantage in shots and a 13-8 advantage in penalty corners. Senior back
Katrina Dull scored her third goal of the season for the Knights in the 57th-minute to tie the game at 1-1, tipping home a blast from junior forward

Freshman goalkeeper Haley Mowery recorded nine saves to pick up the win in goal, improving her record to 2-2 for the season. Sophomore goalkeeper
Mia De Plato fell to 4-2 with the loss after making five saves.
Arcadia will look to get back on track Wednesday when it hosts a 4 p.m. non-conference match against Immaculata University.
