Women’s volleyball pulls out five-set victory over Bryn Mawr

Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team won each of the final two sets to record a 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, 15-13) non-conference victory over visiting Bryn Mawr College Wednesday night at Alumni Gymnasium. The Knights improved to 2-0 for the season with the win, while the Owls fell to 2-1 with the loss.
 
Arcadia was led offensively by senior outside hitter Natalie Cadmus, who posted a double-double with a match-high 18 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Makenna Micklus put down 10 kills and recorded four digs. Junior opposite hitter Kathryn Ahern added six kills, a match-high five service aces and 12 digs.
 
Senior setter Taylor Hoover handed out 35 assists to go with 10 digs, while freshman libero Sami Evans notched a match-high 33 digs.
 
Bryn Mawr was led by junior middle blocker Rachel Ofili, who hit .333 and also totaled a match-high 18 kills. Junior middle blocker Sarah Gates added nine kills and five blocks, while senior setter Danielle Preziuso handed out a match-high 38 assists.
 
The Knights will next travel to Penn State-Abington Saturday for a quad-match with Hood College, Trinity University (D.C.) and Wesley College. Arcadia's first match of the day will be at noon against Wesley.
