Complete ResultsGLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swimming team dropped its final dual meet of the 2014-15 season 159-90 to visiting Widener University Saturday afternoon at Lenox Pool.
Prior to the start of the meet, the Knights recognized seniors
Liz Begley,
Whitney Boeckel,
Becca Burkhart, Sam Heeren,
Lauren Kerr, and
Jenna Neil in a special Senior Day ceremony.
Arcadia placed first in three events on the day and Boeckel recorded two of those wins. She won the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:03.13 and the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:16.89.
Sophomore
Lillie Curtis recorded a first place finish in the 100 freestyle (58.44) and a second place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:09.40). Curtis also recorded Arcadia's top time in the 500 freestyle, placing third in a time of 5:57.18.
Freshman
Madison Luckenbaugh led the team in the 100 butterfly, placing second with a time of 1:09.88.
Both relay teams for the Knights finished second in their respective events. The 200 medley relay team of Boeckel, Neil, freshman
Rose Georgias, and Curtis started the day off for Arcadia (1:59.92), while the 200 freestyle relay team of freshman
Lindsay Fortier, Kerr, freshman
Lucy Reilly, and Boeckel closed out the meet with their time of 1:50.82.
Georgias also finished top for Arcadia in the 200 individual medley touching in at 2:31.56, while Neil finished third in the 100 breaststroke (1:18.10) and fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:53.08).
Fortier touched in third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.47 and sophomore
Emma Tomasetti placed third in the 1000 freestyle finishing with a time of 13:16.73.
Arcadia will return to the pool when the Knights travel to York February 12-15 for the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships.
