GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team saw its five-match winning streak come to an end Wednesday night at Alumni Gymnasium after dropping a 3-0 (20-25, 18-25, 21-25) MAC Commonwealth match to visiting Widener University.
The Pride (11-9, 2-2 MACC) hit .225 in the match with 40 kills to 17 errors, while the Knights (8-9, 2-3 MACC) hit .125 with 34 kills and 21 miscues.
Nicole Dorman had a match-high 14 kills with nine digs to lead Widener to the win, while Natalie Winn totaled nine kills. Sabrina Barbieri handed out a match-high 31 assists, while Lauren Elliott had a match-high 11 digs.
Junior
Makenna Micklus registered 10 kills with four digs to lead Arcadia, while senior
Christina Karnavas notched eight kills with five digs. Freshman
Elizabeth Joseph added six kills with five digs.
The Knights will look to get back on track Saturday when they host a non-conference match against Gwynedd Mercy University at 3 p.m. as part of Homecoming Weekend.
