READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team fell in four sets at Alvernia University Wednesday night in a MAC Commonwealth match. The Crusaders (7-6, 2-1 MACC) won the first and second sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-16, and closed out match with a 25-19 win in the fourth and final set. The Knights (3-7, 1-2 MACC) pulled out a 26-24 win in the third set.
Kristen Sipling notched a match-high 19 kills with five errors on 36 attempts for a .389 attack percentage to lead Alvernia to the win. Laura Wachowicz also had a standout performance on offence, hitting .500 with 13 kills and just one error on 24 attempts.

Becca Campf hit .412 to lead Arcadia, putting down nine kills with just two errors on 17 attempts to go with a match-high four service acres. Classmate
Elizabeth Joseph hit .368 with nine kills and two errors on 19 swings, while senior
Makenna Micklus hit .313 with seven kills and two errors on 16 attempts. Freshman
Kayla Resh had a match-high 17 digs.
The Crusaders hit .285 with 52 total kills to 15 errors, while the Knights hit .127 with 40 total kills and 24 errors.
Arcadia will next travel to Ursinus College Saturday for a tri-match with Franklin & Marshall College. The Knights will face the Diplomats at 1 p.m. before facing the host Bears at 3 p.m.
