DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's swimming team took to the pool for the second time this season, this time in a tri-meet with FDU-Florham and Misericordia. The Knights took down the Devils 213-39, however fell 133-121 to the Cougars to move to 2-1 on the season.

Matthew Morano for a second place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a 3:17.08 to finish the day.
BACKSTROKE: Lam claimed a pair of second place finishes in the individual backstroke events. He clocked in a 56.79 in the 100-yard event before touching the wall at 2:03.55 in the 200-yard race.
BREASTSTROKE: Nicolescu took third in both breaststroke events by finishing the 100-yard race in 1:02.83 and the 200-yard race in 2:26.50. Dalton claimed the runner-up spot in the 200-yard event at 2:20.97.
BUTTERFLY: The Knights saw more success in the butterfly events as they claimed first and second in the 200-yard event and second, third and fourth in the 100-yard race. In the 200-yard race Melissen set the pace with a time of 2:09.08 ahead of freshmen
Austin Lauer's second-place 2:17.76. Highet, Schellinger and Melissen all finished within one second of each other in the 100-yeard event with Highet touching the wall at 56.60, Schellinger finishing at 56.78 and Melissen touching the wall at 57.30.
FREESTYLE: Fisher found great success in the distance freestyle events, capturing first place in both the 1000 and 500-yard races. He opened his individual day with a 10:27.13 in the 1000-yard event before posting a 4:58.33 in the 500-yard race. Freshman
Reed French finished just outside the top-three in the 1000-yard event as he finished at 11:53.84, just 0.17 seconds behind the third place finisher.
Morano opened the sprint freestyle events with a second place finish in the 200-yard race with a time of 1:50.11, he later claimed first in the 100-yard event at 49.56. Preedy took third in the 100-yard freestyle at 51.26, just half a second ahead of Schellinger's 51.77 third place finish. In the fastest event, the 50-yard freestyle, Highet claimed first place with a time of 22.97.
INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY: Lam and Dalton compiled all four strokes in the 200-yard individual medley. The former touched the wall in second place at 2:05.99 while the latter finished third with a time of 2:10.56.
UP NEXT: Arcadia gets back to dual meet action next Saturday when it travels to Albright for a 1 p.m. meet.
