No. 7/16 Women’s Soccer Cruises to 6-0 Homecoming Win over Hood

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's soccer team improved to 13-0 for the season and 3-0 in MAC Commonwealth play after defeating visiting Hood College 6-0 Saturday afternoon at Easton Field. The Blazers fell to 2-8-1 overall and 0-3 with their fourth straight loss.

WINNING STREAKS EXTENDED: The Knights, who are ranked seventh in this week's NSCAA Coaches' Poll and 16th in the D3Soccer.com poll, are on a program-best 15-game winning streak dating back to last season. This also marked Arcadia's program-record 13th consecutive win to start a season.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Senior Lennon Kramer scored the only goal Arcadia would need 15:21 into the match after finishing a cross from junior Kayla Haberbosch, and freshman Veronica Garcia headed the ball in off Alex Estrella's free kick in the 35th-minute to give the Knights a 2-0 lead at the half, and capped the scoring in the 80th minute off another feed from Estrella.

Haberbosch went on to score a natural hat trick in the second half with goals in the 50th, 56th and 61-minutes, raising her team-leading scoring totals to 13 goals and 23 points.

IN GOAL: Freshman Taelor Rivera improved to 12-0 in net for the Knights without having to make a save on the two shots she faced in her 45 first half minutes played. Sophomore Evelyn Feigeles needed to make just one save over the final 45 minutes of the match. Rachel Knoebel allowed four goals with 10 saves in in taking the loss for the Blazers.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Arcadia outshot Hood 27-3 in the match, with a 19-1 margin in shots on goal. The Knights also held a 5-1 margin in corner kicks.
