GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team will take on FDU-Florham in the first round of the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships Tournament. The Knights are the No. 2 seed in Region 3, while the Devils are seeded third. The match will take place at NYU's Brooklyn Athletic Facility at 5 p.m.

ABOUT ARCADIA: The Knights went 16-13 during the regular season, and missed out on a MAC Commonwealth tournament berth after losing a tie-break to Lycoming College for the fifth and final tournament spot. Sophomore
Lizzie Joseph leads the team with 237 kills (3.00 per set), while freshman
Shannon Ryan is a close second with 219 kills (2.49 per set) to go with a team-best 56 service aces (0.64 per set). Sophomore
Becca Campf (156 kills) and senior
MaKenna Micklus (153 kills) have also been strong offensive options for Arcadia. Junior
Colleen Stengel notched 712 assists (8.18 per set) in her first season as the starting setter, while freshman
Emily Eng led the team with 390 digs (4.24 per set).
ABOUT FDU-FLORHAM: The Devils enter the ECAC tournament with a record of 16-14 after falling to nationally-ranked Eastern University in the MAC Freedom semifinals. Lauren Harris leads the team with 286 kills (2.80 per set), followed by Melissa Gaffney's 241 kills (2.25 per set) and Kate Quinlan's 164 kills (1/98 per set). Setter Courtney Conte has 733 assists (7.48 per set), while Rachel Catena leads the team defensively with 605 digs (5.71 per set) while also having a team-best 47 service aces (0.44 per set).
LAST MEETING: The Devils were 3-0 winners over the Knights last season by game scores of 26-24, 27-25 and 25-16. Harris and Quinlan led FDU-Florham with seven kills each, while Catena had a match-high 14 digs to lead the Devils, defensively. Sophomore
Sam Dulak had a match-high 12 kills to go with eight digs to lead Arcadia, while Joseph totaled 10 kills and three blocks and sophomore
Kayla Resh notched 13 digs.
UP NEXT: The winner of tonight's match will face the winner of the opening round match between NYU and New Jersey City University in the quarterfinal round Saturday at the highest remaining seed in the 16-team ECAC Championship Tournament field.
