Men’s Basketball Drops 93-75 Decision at Lebanon Valley

ANNVILLE, Pa – The Arcadia University men's basketball team fell 93-75 at Lebanon Valley Saturday afternoon. The Knights were led by freshman Josh Scott with 20 points highlighted by a 12 of 13 performance from the free throw line. Andy Orr posted a game-high 27 for the Dutchmen on 12 of 16 shooting. The hosts shot 61.4% from the floor in the contest while holding the Scarlet and grey to 36.9% from the field. The Knights fall to 15-8 and 8-6 in the conference while Lebanon Valley moves to 14-9 and 8-6 in the MAC Commonwealth.

Arcadia never led in the contest as Zach Mrozek laid in the first points of the contest for Lebanon Valley just three seconds after the opening tip. Orr opened the Dutchmen's double-digit advantage at 27-16 in the midst of an eight point spurt midway through the first half. The Knights would pull no closer than 10 the rest of the way.

The Knights found themselves in early foul trouble as they were called for the game's first five infractions with Lebanon Valley reaching the one-and-one bonus just under nine minutes into the game.

The highlights of the Knights' day came at the charity stripe, where the Scarlet and Grey converted 23 of 26 attempts, and off the pine as the Scarlet and Grey outscored its hosts 30-18 in bench points.

Senior Alex Cohen contributed 14 points while tying with sophomore Keith Bacote for a team-high seven rebounds. Sophomore Brandon Thompson was the only other Knight in double figures as he posted 13 points.

Sam Light (20) and Mrozek (15) joined Orr in double-figures with Will Boccanfuso leading all players with 10 rebounds.

The Knights currently sit in third in the MAC Commonwealth playoff picture, two games behind conference leader Alvernia with two games remaining. Arcadia returns home for its final home game of the regular season on Tuesday when it hosts Widener on Senior Day; tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
