GLENSIDE, Pa. –The Arcadia University men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 match to MAC Commonwealth rival Messiah College Saturday afternoon at Weiss Courts. The Falcons moved to 9-6 overall and 6-0 in conference play, while the Knights fell to 9-9 on the season and 4-2 in conference matches.
 
The match was decided at the No. 5 singles, where Austin Warren was a 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 winner over senior Chuck Poklikuha to give Falcons the win.  
 
The Knights trailed 2-1 after doubles play as the pairing of Poklikuha and classmate Alex Colton defeated Dustin Innerst and Blake Ross. Messiah's No. 1 pairing took an 8-6 win, while the No. 2 position battled for the 9-8 victory.
 
In singles, freshman Ishan Kulkarni recorded a 6-3, 6-4 win over Tim Dunn at the first flight, while junior Wesley Wei defeated Innerst, 6-2, 6-2 at the fourth flight. Senior Darren Stochmal also picked up a victory for the Knights, taking down Ross, 6-1, 6-4 at the sixth position. Messiah's Connor Graybeal was a 6-4, 7-5 winner over Colton at the second flight and Devin Esch notched a 6-4, 6-4 victory over senior Vincent Voulo at the No. 3 position.

Prior to the start of today's match, Colton, Stochmal, Poklikuha, and Voulo were all honored in their final home match.
 
The Knights will be back in action on April 26 when they travel to Drew for a 4:00 p.m. match.
