FREDRICK, Md. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team brought the 2016 season to a close with a 20-10 victory at Hood College on Saturday afternoon, senior
Dawn Faranetta fueled the win with seven goals. The Scarlet and Grey finished the season 6-10 overall, including 2-6 in conference play, while Hood's season ended with a 4-14 mark that included an 0-8 conference record.
HOW IT HAPPENED: A game that began with back and forth action quickly turned in the Knights' favor; with the scored tied at six midway through the first half, the Scarlet and Grey scored 11 straight goals between the end of the first half and beginning of the second to take control. Faranetta's third goal of the day opened the run with 13:21 left in the opening frame before classmate
Adeline Bellesheim capped it with a man-up goal with 18:52 left in the second half.

HOOD LEADERS: Jade Locklear scored six goals to lead the Blazers.
IN THE CIRCLE: Senior Jordyn Duncusky made five saves as she picked up the win, with Hood's Lauren Couch making 16 saves as she suffered the loss.
