FREDERICK, Md. – The Arcadia University men's swimming team picked a 194-52 win over Hood Saturday afternoon. It was the first meet of the year for the Knights.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• The Knights start the season 1-0
• The Blazers are 0-1

 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Knights claimed first place points in both relays, as sophomore Tristian Highet, junior Andrew Givone, freshman Justin Reed and sophomore Mark Preedy clocked in at 1:43.87 in the 200 medley relay and junior Michael Melissen, senior Jacob Schellinger, senior Grant Fisher and Highet finished the 200 freestyle relay in 1:31.22.
• Sophomore T.J. Dalton claimed the top spot in the 200 freestyle (1:49.90), 200 breaststroke (2:17.14) and 200 IM (2:04.85)
• Fisher was the first to touch the wall in the 1,000 yard freestyle (10:25.39), 100 freestyle (50:57) and 500 yard freestyle (5:02.76)
• Highet picked up wins in the 100 yard backstroke (57.44) and 50 yard freestyle (22.26)

 
NOTES:

• This is the second straight season the Knights have opened the year with a win over Hood
• Arcadia took first place in every event
