DALLAS, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's swimming team downed Misericordia, 162-99, and FDU-Florham, 199-52, Saturday afternoon in tri-meet action. With the wins, the Knights continue their undefeated start to the season.
FOR THE RECORD:
- The Scarlet and Gray are now 5-0 on the season
- The Devils dropped to 0-5 on the year
- The Cougars fell to 1-3 on the year
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The team of sophomore Eunice Ardamoy, junior Taylor Byers, freshman Madison McKay, and sophomore Megan Hupp took 1st place in the 400 yard medley relay in 4:12.05.
- Sophomore Rachel Samson teamed with Ardamoy, Hupp, and McKay in the 200 yard freestyle relay to take first at 1:44.18.
- Samson went on to claim three individual wins, taking the 200 yard butterfly in 2:22.47, the 200 yard backstroke in 2:21.05, and the 200 yard IM in 2:20.96.
- Hupp collected two top finishes, taking the 100 yard freestyle in 56.37, and the 500 yard freestyle in 5:18.73.
- Sophomore Bailey Babarsky paced the field in the 200 yard freestyle with 2:03.99; she also took 3rd in the 50 yard freestyle, finishing said event in 26.72, and finishing the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:42.72.
- Ardamoy secured 1st place points in the 100 yard backstroke event, finishing in 1:02.22; she also took 2nd in the 50 yard freestyle at 26.39.
- McKay set the pace in the 100 yard butterfly at 1:03.04; she also took 2nd in the 200 yard butterfly, finishing in 2:26.00.
- Junior Taylor Byers was the runner up in two events: the 100 yard breaststroke (1:12.75) and the 200 yard IM (2:25.31).
- Sophomore Rebeka Brown took 2nd in the 1000 yard freestyle with a 11:28.46 finish.
- Junior Alyssa D'Esposito finished two events in 3rd, the 1000 yard freestyle (11:28.72) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:39.55).
- Senior Rose Georgias finished 3rd in both the 200 yard freestyle (2:08.15) and the 200 yard backstroke in (2:22.91).
