READING, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's basketball team fell to the Albright Lions Saturday afternoon, 66-46. Sophomore
Sydney Cyr had 11 points, marking her fourth-straight game in double figures. Cyr also added 10 rebounds for her second-straight double-double.
FOR THE RECORD:
- The Knights fell to 3-3 on the season.
- Alright advanced to 4-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Knights started the first quarter off on a 6-0 run, where Cyr scored four of her 11 points. The Lions battled back going on an 11-0 run to move out in front. Albright would finish the first stanza up 15-13. Arcadia's 13 points came from Cyr (7) and freshman Taylor Fritz who netted six.
- In the second frame, Arcadia tried to battle back, going on a 7-0 run in the middle of the quarter, cutting the deficit to as little as one. Junior Camille Menns had a solid quarter, scoring seven points for the Knights.
- Coming out of the break, Albright extended its lead to 21 points by the quarter's end.
- In the final stanza, Arcadia went on a 6-0 run, but time expired before the Knights could complete a comeback. In the quarter, the Knights saw points from six different players.
GAME NOTES:
- Both teams had 18 turnovers, but it was the Knights who took advantage. The Scarlet and Grey outscored the Lions 20-13 on takeaways.
- Sophomore Jamie Manzo finished with nine points, her second-highest total on the season.
