GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University field hockey team got back in the win column Wednesday night, shutting out William Paterson 3-0 on Jean Lenox West Field.
FOR THE RECORD: The Knights improved to 5-3 on the year, while the Pioneers fell to 2-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Scarlet and Grey peppered William Paterson with shots early and often. Freshman
Lauren Dougherty rifled a pair of shots in quick succession less than five minutes in with the first being blocked and the second denied by a defensive save. Fast forward to the 28
th minute, the frosh put two more shots on cage with the second tipping off the keeper and into the back of the net.

Isabelle Houser for her first collegiate goal just over a minute and a half into the second half. Houser got on the board herself in the 57
th minute on a diving effort netting a pass from junior

IN GOAL: Freshman
Maya Stern (5-3) picked up the shutout by making three saves. William Paterson's Mallory Rickerhauser (2-4) allowed three goals and made seven saves in the loss.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knights dominated the stat sheet, as they outshot the Pioneers 23-5, including 11-5 in shots on goal, and took 17 penalty corners to William Paterson's 2.
