GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia women's swimming team opened its 2018-19 season with a 178-70 win over Hood on Friday evening at Lenox Pool.
In the 200 Yard Relay,
Rachel Samson,
Taylor Byers,
Madison McKay and
Megan Hupp finished with a time of 1:50.07 which was good for second place.
Kenzie Myer,
Kira Alderman,
Rylee Cella and
Claire Hamilton finished in second with a time of 2:01.60.
In the 1,000 Freestyle, Rebekah Brown touched the wall first, with a time of 11:37.54,
Annalise Christy claimed second, finishing with a time of 12:09.56.
Caroline Patterson rounded out the top three, finishing in 12:27.27.
Brown was first in the 1000 freestyle, touching the wall in 11:57.54. Christy claimed second, finishing in 12:09.56. Patterson finished third, with a time of 12:27.27.
Hamilton finished first in the 200 Freestyle, touching the wall with a time of 2:07.52.
Alyssa D'Esposito was second in the event, finishing with a time of 2;08.67.
Danielle Shead was third, with a time of 2:09.80.
Bailey Babarsky finished second in the 100 Backstroke for the best Knight finish, with a time of 1:06.66. Samson was third, touching the wall in 1:02.84.
Cella was first in the 200 Butterfly, with a time of 2:34.52. McKay was second, touching the wall in 2:36.36.
D'Esposito was first in the 500 Freestyle, with a time of 5:38.14. Shead was second for the Knights, finishing in 5:54.91.
The Knights are back in action on Oct. 20 for a dual meet with Rampo at 1 p.m. at Lenox Pool.
