GLENSIDE, Pa. -- The Arcadia men's basketball team posted a 98-59 win over Immaculata on Friday night at Alumni Gymnasium.
 
Da'Kquan Davis scored 24 points on 7 of 9 shooting from the floor, 7 of 7 shooting from the line, and added seven assists and five rebounds to lead the Knights (2-1). Phil Pierfy scored 20 points, Steve Pendleton added 10 and the Knights shot 52.4 percent (33-63) as a team in picking up their second win of the season. The Mighty Macs were held to 27.5 percent shooting (19-69), including a 4 of 24 showing (.167) from deep in falling to 2-3 this season.

An early 5-3 deficit for the Knights quickly evaporated as the Scarlet & Grey seized control with a 16-0 run to take a 19-5 lead by the 13:06 mark of the first half. Arcadia hit seven of its next 10 shots from the floor, capped by five straight points from Pendleton, and held Immaculata to 0 for 9 shooting with a pair of turnovers during the early burst.
 
The Mighty Macs pulled as close as 11 points at 23-12 with 9:54 showing, but a 20-7 run by the Knights pushed the lead out to 43-19 with 3:24 left in the first half. The run included a stretch in which Davis scored nine straight points for AU, including a big dunk sandwiched between a pair of triples. Arcadia's lead reached at the half stood at 56-29.
 
The Knights had more assists in the first half (12), than the Mighty Macs did baskets made (9), and AU also had just two turnovers over the first 20 minutes.
 
The second half began with an 18-2 run buy Arcadia as the lead ballooned to a game-high 43 points (74-31) with 13:39 to play. Davis fueled the run with seven points and four of the Knights' five made field goals were assisted.
 
Davis' seven assists were the second-most he has handed out in his career and were one short of his career high. The 20 assists for the Knights came against just 13 turnovers. Josh Scott added five helpers as well as a team-best 10 rebounds. Pierfy added four helpers and Kishan Patel scored nine points.
 
Brandon McCullough, Asa Kitchen and Andre Allen led the Mighty Macs with nine points apiece. Kristopher Bobo had eight points and 10 rebounds, and Mike Piekarski chipped in six points and six rebounds.
 
Arcadia is back in action on Tuesday when it hosts Gwynedd-Mercy at 8 p.m.
