HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Despite seeing junior
Josh Scott join the 1,000-point club, Arcadia men's basketball fell in the ECAC First Round to Juniata, 73-68.
FOR THE RECORD:
- Arcadia finishes the season 14-14 overall.
- Juniata improves to 23-5 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After falling behind early by 13 points, the Knights responded with a 24-10 run to take the lead, 24-23 with 5:55 left in the first half. Over the span, Scott and sophomore Emmanuel Anderson-Marrow each dropped six points. The hosts closed out the first frame on top, 33-30.
- In the second stanza, the Scarlet and Grey fell behind by six before mounting another comeback. Over a 2:31 span, Arcadia maintained a 9-2 run to recapture the lead, 51-50, with 11:16 left. Junior Jason Rivera accounted for four of the team's points.
- The squads traded the lead six times over the remainder of the game, however the Eagles scored the final seven points to finish on top.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Scoring in double figures was senior Brandon Thompson (13), freshman Da'Kquan Davis (11), Scott (11) and Anderson-Morrow (11).
- As a team, the Knights shot 41.5% from the field.
GAME NOTES:
- Scott becomes the 10th player in program history to score 1,000 points.
