Men’s Volleyball Battles Stevenson

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's volleyball team hosted conference rival Stevenson Sunday, falling 3-0. The Knights fell 25-21, 25-16, 25-17.
 
FOR THE RECORD:
  • The Scarlet and Grey own a 10-9 overall record, and a 4-2 mark in the MAC.
  • The Mustangs are 11-6 on the year, and 6-0 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The teams were neck-and-neck much of the opening set, with neither squad leading by more than three, until the visitors claimed the set's final three points to win by four.
  • Arcadia bounced back with the first three points of the second set, however Stevenson responded with 10 of the next 13 points to go ahead for good.
  • Stevenson continued its momentum to start the third set, jumping out to the early lead to take control.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • The Knights scored 34 points on 26 kills, six aces and two blocks.
  • Sophomore Austin Braas led Arcadia with nine kills, followed by classmate Jason Manley with six and freshman Quinn Baily with three.
  • Manley tied a match-high with two aces.
  • Freshman Anthony Devantier led all players with 22 assists.
  • On the defensive end, Manley and Baily each totaled five digs.
UP NEXT:
  • The Knights are back in action Wednesday night, when they continue MAC play at Widener. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
