GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia women's tennis team picked up a 6-3 win over conference foe Alvernia Thursday afternoon. The Knights claimed second and third doubles for the early lead before taking first, third, fifth and sixth singles.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• The Scarlet and Grey pulled to 3-4 on the year and 1-1 in MAC Commonwealth play.
• The Golden Wolves are 1-8 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

WINNERS:

• Sophomores Casey Boldt and Sarah Rosario combined to best Alivia Lopez and Leah Kemper 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.
• Sophomore Maeghan Myers and freshman Emily Cruz-Pineda shut out Maria Figurelli and Morganne Blazejak 8-0 in the third doubles flight.
• Senior Amanda Shulski bested Cassandra Noray at No. 1 singles 7-6 (8-6), 6-3.
• Freshman Tess Weber cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Lopez at third singles.
• Cruz-Pineda shut down Figurelli in the fifth singles flight 6-0, 6-0.
• Myers shut out Blazejak 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.

CLOSE CALLS:

• Boldt gave Kemper everything she could handle at No. 4, singles taking the first set 6-0 before falling 6-0, 5-7, 9-11.
