Zeng Zhu Helps Men’s Tennis Power Past Penn State Abington, 7-2

Box Score ABINGTON, Pa. – The Arcadia men's tennis team powered past Penn State – Abington on Tuesday by a score of 7-2, winning all doubles matches and taking four of the six singles matches.
 
FOR THE RECORD:
  • Arcadia improves to 8-7 on the year. 
  • Penn State – Abington sits at 5-7 overall. 
WINNERS:
  • The Knights went 3-0 in doubles action, with junior Keith Rader and classmate Jaime Zeng Zhu recording the victory 8-1 in first doubles.
  • Sophomore Drake Hanak and junior John Zinzer powered through second doubles, 8-2.
  • The Knights completed the sweep in doubles play with junior Alex Post and freshman Tim Zeng winning third doubles, 8-4.
  • In singles action, the Scarlet and Grey went 4-2. Hanak dominated in second singles, winning 6-1, 6-0.
  • Zeng Zhu took the victory in third singles 6-3, 6-0, with classmate Post taking the win in fourth singles 8-4.
CLOSE CALLS:
  • Rader fought in first singles, but fell 7-5, 6-1.
  • Zeng battled in fifth singles and fell 8-4. 
UP NEXT:
  • The Knights are back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Albright for a 3:30 p.m. start time.
