READING, Pa. – Senior Allegra Benites scored a career high six goals Friday afternoon as the Arcadia women's lacrosse team fell to Albright, 21-12. Benites now needs four goals to hit the century mark in her career.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• Arcadia falls to 6-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
• Albright advances to 7-4, with a 2-1 MAC Commonwealth mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The first half was a back-and-forth battle, seeing the home team lead at the break, 8-7. Arcadia had four different scorers, with Benites paving the way with three goals, followed by sophomores Shannon Ryan (2 goals), Victoria Mollitor (1 goal) and freshman Michaela Ferlow (1 goal). Seniors Marie Brockman and Nicole Hutson each contributed one assist.
• The Knights tried for the comeback, pulling within one at 12-11, however the Lions came out on top. Arcadia scored five goals in the half, seeing three from Benites and one apiece from Ryan and Hutson.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Benites added three draw controls and three ground balls, while Ryan contributed 10 draw controls, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers.
• Sophomore Molly Naylor made a career high 14 saves.

GAME NOTES:

• Ryan moves into sole possession of fifth place all-time in assists with 63.
• Hutson now sits in fourth place in program history with 124 draw controls. She is also tied for third place all-time with 71 caused turnovers.

• The Knights are back in action on Monday as they travel to Swarthmore to finish non-conference play. The game is set to start at 7 p.m.
