GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Arcadia women's tennis team fell to No. 1 Messiah Tuesday afternoon, 2-5. This was the team's first visit to the conference tournament since 2009.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• Arcadia sits at 7-7 overall.
• Messiah advances to 11-5 on the season.

ARCADIA WINNERS:

• The Knights went 1-2 in doubles, seeing the tandem of senior Amanda Shulski and sophomore Casey Boldt win, 8-3.
• Shulski also picked up a victory in number one singles, 6-1, 6-2.

CLOSE CALLS:

• Freshman Tess Weber and Junior Zoe Foglia just came up short in number one doubles, 7-9.
• Freshman Emily Cruz-Pineda and sophomore Maeghan Myers dropped number three doubles, 4-8.
• In singles action, Foglia fell, 2-6, 1-6.
• Boldt dropped number four singles, 1-6, 2-6.
• Cruz-Pineda fell 3-6, 3-6 in number five singles.
• Both Weber and Myers singles matches were unfinished.
