No. 1 Softball Eyes Conference Title Entering MAC Commonwealth Championship

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Riding a 15-game win streak, the Arcadia softball team (24-12, 12-4) enters to MAC Commonwealth Championship as the number one seed for the first time in program history.

It's been a historic season to date, with the Knights posting a 12-4 record in the MAC Commonwealth for the most wins in league play ever. Those totals include the program's first-ever sweep of Messiah. Arcadia's win streak sits as the second longest in program history, behind the 18 straight from the 2009 team.

With six All-Conference players and three of the major award winners, the Knights look to take home the conference title under the 2017 and 2018 Coach of the Year Sarah Colletti. Colletti has her squad sitting at 7-1 against the four other teams in the conference tournament, with the lone loss coming to No. 3 Lebanon Valley as the teams split the regular season series 1-1.

On the field, two-time reigning Player of the Year junior Jackie Bilotti has been nearly unstoppable this season, leading the team with a .402 batting average, 49 hits, 27 runs scored, five triples and is tied for the team lead with 31 RBIs.

The Scarlet and Grey add another nine hitters that are batting .300 or better on the season, sitting atop the conference with a .321 batting average in conference games.

In the circle, Arcadia leads the MAC Commonwealth with a 2.11 ERA in conference games. The Knights rotation includes two All-Conference pitchers in sophomores Mary Pat Murray and Kylee Schwind.

To date, Murray sits 10-6 overall with a 2.69 ERA over 99 innings pitched. The Bellmawr, N.J. native has struck out 41 batters faced, adding 12 complete games and four shutouts to her totals.

Schwind, the 2017 MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Year, posts a 10-4 record inside the circle with a 2.23 ERA. Over 94.1 innings pitched, the Bethlehem, Pa. native struck out 66 batters faced, adding 10 complete games, four shutouts, and one save to her totals.

The Knights will take on No. 5 Alvernia in their only game of the day at 2 p.m. Alvernia took down No. 4 Hood in its first game of the day, 6-1.
