SCRANTON, Pa. – Sophomore
Julia Imbert scored four goals Wednesday afternoon, however the No. 1 Arcadia women's lacrosse team fell to No. 4 Marywood, 18-12, in the first round of the ECAC Division III Championship Tournament.
FOR THE RECORD:
- Arcadia ends the season 10-9 overall.
- Marywood moves to 12-7 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Arcadia started on a 4-1 run over the first 13:47, before ending the half up, 6-4. The Knights saw goals from four different players, including two each from Imbert and classmate Victoria Mollitor.
- After the home squad took a run of its own to open up the second half, the Scarlet and Grey attempted a comeback, finishing the final 15:02 on a 6-3 run.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Mollitor ended the day as the team's highest scorer with five points, off of three goals and two assists.
- Sophomore Shannon Ryan finished with four points, having two assists and two goals.
- Sophomore Jess Kaye notched three points, scoring once and assisting twice.
- Senior Allegra Benites netted two goals on the afternoon.
- Sophomore Molly Naylor made 11 saves in net.
