DOVER, Del. -- The Arcadia field hockey team improved to 6-2 on the season with a 2-0 win at Wesley on Thursday night at Drass Field.

The Knights won for the third time in a row and posted their second straight shutout in improving to 6-2, while the Wolverines slipped to 4-7 on the season.

The Scarlet & Grey scored once in each half and
Ashton Evans made five saves in goal in the win.
Mickie March got the Knights on the board when
Lauren Dougherty found her open on the left side of the cage and she knocked a shot past Wesley's Lauren Berry for the first goal of the game in the 27th minute.

In the second half, Sedares scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season off a feed from
Isabelle Houser for an insurance goal at the 44:55 mark. The Wolverines mustered just seven shots in the contest, but did manage to generate eight penalty corners.

N GOAL: Evans' five saves allowed her to pick up her third straight win in goal and she now boasts a goals-against average of 0.00 with a 1.000 save percentage in three appearances (2 starts). For the Wolverines, Berry played the first half and allowed one goal with four saves, while Sidney Knott played the final 35:00 and allowed one goal with four saves as well.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knights launched 18 shots for the second game in a row, tying the second-most in a single game this season … With four shut outs thus far, the Knights have matched the four clean sheets that they recorded all of last season … The Knights, who went 10-10 last year, picked up win No. 6 a game quicker than they did last season … Evans is the third different goalie to earn a decision this season for the Knights.
