GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia women's swimming team defeated Immaculata, 115-35 on senior night at Lenox Pool on Friday.
The Knights totaled 16 medals, with nine first-place finishes, five second-place finishes and two third-place finishes.
Alyssa D'Esposito set a new pool record in the 1,650 yard freestyle for AU. D'Espositio finished with a time of 19:14.42, besting her own mark of 19:58.53, which she set in 2015.
Megan Hupp was first in two events are the Knights. Hupp was first in the 100 yard backstroke, setting a new personal best time of 1:06.63. She was also first in the 200 yard freestyle, touching the wall in 2:03.27.
Rachel Samson had two top-three finishes for AU. Samson was first in the 400 yard IM (4:59.00) and was second in the 100 yard backstroke (1:07.13).
Taylor Byers finished first for AU in the 100 yard breast, touching the wall in 1:11.16.
Bailey Babarsky,
Claire Hamilton and
Kailey Allen all also had one first-place finish for the Knights. Babarsky was first in the 50 yard freestyle (26.97), Hamilton won the 500 free (5:31.11) and Allen won the 100 free (1:00.14).
Kenzie Myer picked up a second place finish for AU in the 50 yard freestyle, touching the wall in 27.53.
Marissa Kirkendoll and
Rylee Cella also had second-place finishes. Kirkendoll was second in the 400 yard IM with a time of 5:24.42 and also had a personal best time in the 100 back (1:10.31). Cella was second in the 100 yards fly (1:07.75).
Danielle Shead also had the third-place finish in the 100 fly with a time of 1:13.46 for Arcadia.
The Knights are back in action tomorrow for a dual meet with Stevenson, beginning at 2 p.m.
