Ferlow Nets Hat Trick, Livingston Ties Program Wins Record at Delaware Valley

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Michaela Ferlow recorded her first-career hat trick to lead the Arcadia University field hockey team to a dominant, bounce-back victory Tuesday night at Delaware Valley as the Knights raced past the host Aggies, 6-2. Ferlow was one of three goal scorers in the effort with Carly Flickinger added a season-high two scores and Victoria Rojas pitched in a single tally. The Knights posted a 41-4 shot advantage in the effort, including a 25-4 lead in shots on goal.

The victory was the 107th of head coach Erin Livingston's Arcadia career, moving her into a tie for first on the program's all-time wins list.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights did not waste any time getting on the board Tuesday night, as Flickinger found the back of the cage 94 seconds into the contest. Ferlow then followed with her first of three tallies in the final moments of the first quarter to extend the lead to two.

-The Aggies responded with their first goal of the night to close out the first quarter, but the Knights held the hosts to zero shots the rest of the half to carry their 2-1 lead into the break.

-The two sides traded scores in the third quarter - thanks to Rojas' second goal of the 2019 season late in the third - but three unanswered, fourth-quarter goals from the Knights put the game away for good. Flickinger started the fourth-quarter barrage with her second of the night just over three minutes into the period before completed her hat trick with two scores in the final six minutes to cap off the non-conference road victory.

-The Knights were dominant in the offfensive end on the night, out-shooting the Aggies 41-4. Arcadia also held a 25-4 advantage in shots on goal.
