Men's Basketball Drops Second Straight on the Road

ABINGTON, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's basketball team suffered their second consecutive road loss against Penn State Abington, 92-77, on Saturday afternoon. Da'Kquan Davis edged closer to 1,000 career points with 24 points, which moves him within 11 of the career milestone. 

Steve Pendleton dropped 15 points to finish second on the squad in scoring. Justin Money and Jacob Walsh also reached double-digits with 13 and 11 points, respectively. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Abington set the tone early with a 10-2 run to open the game, scoring their first 10 points in the paint. The Knights responded with seven consecutive points to pull within one score and eventually took their first lead of the afternoon with back-to-back three-pointers from Davis and Money, 15-12. 

- Johaan Vinson gave the Knights their largest lead with a free throw that put the Knights up by six, 20-14. However, Abington responded with three-pointers on consecutive possessions to tie the game. Arcadia regained the lead twice before halftime, but each run was countered by the Nittany Lions, who ended the half with a 36-35 lead.

- Abington hit a three-pointer on their opening possession of the second half and added a jumper to go ahead by six points, 41-35. The Knights struggled to capture momentum in the second half and never put together a consistent run. The Nittany Lions went ahead by double-digits with 10:59 remaining, following a three-ball from Jay Fitzgerald.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Abington put together a stellar afternoon from the floor. The Nittany Lions shot 50.8 percent from the field and 50.0 percent (13-for-26) from beyond the arc.
- Arcadia shot 42.9 percent from the field, but struggled from deep at 29.2 percent (7-for-24).
- The Nittany Lions doubled the Knights opportunities from the foul line with 22 free throw attempts.
