HAVERFORD, Pa. -- A flurry of first-half goals led No. 21 Haverford to a 20-2 win over the Arcadia women's lacrosse team on Tuesday afternoon at Swan Field.

The 21st-ranked Fords improved to 3-1 on the season on the strength of 16 first-half goals. The Fords needed just 20 seconds to open the scoring as Maeve Gaffney scored at 29:40. The Knights answered quickly, winning the ensuing draw and tying the game at 1-1 on
Hannah McAllister's third goal of the season at the 28:57 mark.

From there, the Fords scored 15 straight to close out the first half and take a 16-1 lead at the break. Four more goals to open the second half pushed Haverfords' lead to 20-1.
Julia Imbert scored for the Knights with 2:01 to play for the game's final tally.

Haverford outshot AU 39-9 despite just a 12-11 edge in draw controls. Arcadia committed 27 turnovers to just 10 for the Fords.

Veandra Selby played over 55:00 in the cage and made 12 saves with 19 goals allowed.
Lauren Bunch closed out the game, allowing one goal. Amelia Slade started for the Fords, playing 30:00 and allowing one goal. Sarah Cahn and Tatiana Lathion played the final 30:00 and combined to allow one goal with three saves.

Jess Kaye led all players with seven draw controls and
Emily Covert contributed three ground balls, a pair of caused turnovers and one draw control.
Michaela Ferlow had a pair of caused turnovers and scooped up two ground balls.
