GLENSIDE, Pa. -- Arcadia's women's tennis team made quick work of Hood on Sunday afternoon, posting an 8-1 win over the visiting Blazers at Weiss Courts.

Arcadia evened its record at 7-7 on the season and now stands at 1-0 in MAC Commonwealth play. Hood fell to 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the league.

The Knights seized control of the match early, easily winning all three doubles flights for a 3-0 lead.
Tess Weber and
Julia Paraboschi, and
Casey Boldt and
Zoe Foglia posted 8-3 wins at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, while the duo of
Emily Cruz-Pineda and
Maeghan Myers recorded an 8-2 win at No. 3.

Foglia's 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles proved to be the penultimate point, and Paraboschi rallied after dropping her first set 6-2 to post a 2-6, 6-2, 10-1 win at No. 2 and clinch the point. Hood recorded its lone point with a win at No. 1, and AU finished out the match with wins by Cruz-Pineda, Boldt and Myers at Nos., 3, 4 and 5 in 8-game pro sets.
