GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia women's tennis team fell to Lebanon Valley on Wednesday at home, 5-4.
In doubles action, the team of Tess Weber/Julia Paraboschi pushed their adversaries to the limit at flight one, falling 8-7(9). Lebanon Valley swept all three doubles flights, with the other two matches finishing at 8-3 and 8-6, respectively.
With a 3-0 deficit heading into singles, AU came out swinging, winning four of six matches, but LVC was able to clinch the win at No. 1. The No. 1 doubles match was the third to end as Weber fell, 6-2.
Arcadia's four doubles wins came at No. 2 by Paraboschi (6-3, 6-0), No. 4 by Emily Cruz-Pineda (6-2, 6-3), No. 5 by Casey Boldt (7-5, 6-1) and No. 3 by Zoe Foglia (4-6, 6-1, 1-0(11)).
The Knights hit the court again Apr. 23 at Alvernia. First serve is slated for 3:30 p.m.
