GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's basketball team posted a season-high 92 points and shot a season-best 61.7 percent (37-60) from the field Saturday to cruise to a 92-61 MAC Commonwealth victory over visiting Stevenson, as the Knights finished the afternoon with five scoring in double-figures.
Da'Kquan Davis led the way with 29 points, while
DJ Gardner set a career-high with 11.
Steve Pendleton posted 14 points and has now reached double-figure scoring in five of his last six games, while
Jalen Watkins poured in 11 and
Kishan Patel added ten of his own.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights raced out to a ten-point lead in the first six minutes of the game thanks to a 19-5 run to start the contest. Davis scored eight of the Knights' 19 points while Watkins added five of his own - including an emphatic dunk at the 16:34 mark causing Stevenson to use its first timeout of the game.
-Arcadia outscored the Mustangs 26-8 over the final 11:55 of the opening half to take a 29-point lead into the break as the Knights held the visitors to 16.6 percent (5-30) from the field in the first 20 minutes.
-The Knights led by 30-plus points for the final 14:54 of the game, as Gardner netted eight of his 11 in the second half while Johaan Vinson scored nine off the bench to vault the Knights to the 31-point victory.

-The Knights shot a season-high 61.7 percent (37-60) from the field while limiting Stevenson to 33.3 percent (19-57) on the day. Arcadia's 37 made field goals was also as season-high.
-Arcadia caused 19 turnovers and only committed ten of its own. The Knights scored 24 points off Mustang turnovers.
-The Knights also held Stevenson to just 27.3 percent (6-22) from beyond the arc.
