Chicopee, Ma. - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team fell to Elms College, 3-0, in the squad's second meeting of the season on Saturday.
Quinn Baily led the Knights with 13 kills, while
Anthony Devantier had 32 assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arcadia tallied four-straight points to jump out to a 7-3 lead. However, Elms would turn momentum around with six-straight points to go ahead 11-9. Both squad's traded points the rest of the way, but the Knights were unable to regain the lead.
- Elms took an early lead in the second set, but the Knights answered with a 3-0 run to tie the game at 8-8. The Knights would take their first lead later in the set following a Baily kill, 16-15. However, Elms immediately answered with a 7-1 run to gain separation from Arcadia. Elms went on to win the set, 25-19.
- Elms closed things out with a 25-22 victory in the final set. The Knights put together four-straight points to take a 10-8 lead, but soon surrendered the lead. Arcadia put together a couple late runs, but could not overtake the Blazers.
