Second Half Rally Falls Short as Women's Lacrosse Falls to Marywood, 13-6

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team fell behind early to visiting Marywood Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field, but staged a second-half rally to get within three on goals from Julia Imbert and Jess Kaye, but the Pacers pulled away late with six scores in the half to take a 13-6 victory. Kaye finished the afternoon with a team-high four goals and two assists for six points, while Imbert and Madison Morabito added single tallies each.

Veandra Selby made 12 saves in net for the Knights in the effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Pacers got out to a fast start with three-straight goals in the first eight minutes, but Madison Morabito put an end to the scoring run with the Knights' first goal of the afternoon at the 19:17 mark with an assist from Kaye.

-Marywood countered with four-straight scores in the moments that followed to extend its lead to six, but Kaye cut the deficit to five with her first goal of four goals in the game with 16 seconds remaining in the half after taking a feed from Hannah McAllister.

-The Knights came out of the break with a strong offensive attack, as Kaye and Jess Imbert both found the back of the net to begin the second half to bring Arcadia within three, 7-4. However, the Knights would only score twice more in the half while the Pacers netted six along the way to take the 13-6 victory.
