ST. DAVID'S, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's field hockey team defeated Eastern University, 5-2, to capture its third-straight win in the Knights regular season finale on Saturday morning.
Ashlyn Barton collected her first career hat trick, while
Autumn Gahman and
Bri Sell each added a goal for the Knights.
Gracie Fenner put together a strong performance in net as the junior recorded a game-high 13 saves, which marks her second-highest, single-game saves total of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Eastern jumped out to an early lead with a goal in the ninth minute of play. The Eagles outshot the Knights 4-2 in the quarter and ended the opening stanza with a 1-0 lead.

The first-year put the Knights ahead with her first tally in the 35th minute on a reverse stick shot. Barton then added another goal early in the 37th minute off an assist from Gahman. Barton completed her hat trick with one more goal in the 43rd minute after putting back her own rebound, 4-1.
- Eastern trimmed its deficit to two goals in the 59th minute, but Sell quickly answered with her first career goal in the 60th minute. Sell buried an attempt in the back of the cage after a drop pass from
