GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - The Arcadia University field hockey team fell at Gwynedd Mercy, 2-1, on Wednesday night.
Morganne Dee tallied the lone score for the Knights with an assist from
Autumn Gahman. The Knights outshot Gwynedd Mercy 26-3 and earned 24 penalty corners.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights struck early with the game's opening goal in the first three minutes of the first quarter. Dee collected her seventh goal of the season with an assist from Gahman, who leads the team with 25 points on the season.
- Arcadia fired off 10 shots before Gwynedd Mercy attempted their first shot with seven minutes remaining in the second quarter. After their first attempt was denied, the Griffins connected on the second-chance opportunity to tie the game.
- Gwynedd Mercy added on another goal in the third quarter to take a 2-1 lead. The Knights finished the rest of the game with a 7-0 shot advantage, but couldn't connect on the equalizer.Â
