GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's soccer team fell in a hard-fought battle, 1-0, with No. 12 Misericordia on Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field.
Facing a total of 41 shots on the afternoon, the Knights defense weathered the Cougars' storm for 85 minutes before Misericordia found the winner. Arcadia's goalkeepers

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The strong team defense started from the beginning for the Knights as Misericordia put pressure on Arcadia from the opening whistle. Green made five saves in the opening 45 minutes to keep the scored tied at zero going into halftime.
- Mendez made a couple of early saves to get her into the rhythm of the game as she entered at the beginning of the second half. She made nine saves in the final 45 minutes, but the Cougars eventually broke through as Misericordia's Kaylee Sturans scored in the 85th minute, which was the match-winning goal.
